Carling Black Label Cup 2013

Written by Super User.

The most unique cup competition in South Africa, Carling Black Label Cup, will once again showcase two of the top Mzansi football teams this coming Saturday July 27. The competition has been running for 2 years and Saturday will wrap up the 3rd year.

Quick info on how this works: The Carling Black Label cup is unique in that it allows the fans to decide who plays and who warms the bench. Fans are allowed to select the starting lineups of both Orlando Pirates and their rivals Kaizer Chiefs leading to the competition. We as fans are also allowed, during the initial 45mins of the game, to select who should get substituted. All these can be done via an sms which will indicate the jersey number of the player we want to see in the field. On the day, the 2 Soweto giants will be coached by 2 of the luckiest fans in Mzansi.

For the past 2 years, Orlando Pirates have been the champions of the Carling Black Label Cup, and bragging rights have been in order for the Mighty Baccanneers. This year, the current PSL champions, Kaizer Chiefs, will aim to “Reclaim The Glory” as they have been saying this past league season.

If you were not part of National Achievers Congress in Sandton this past weekend, I must say, you really missed out. Mzansi was spoiled with number of world’s best speakers, who have mastered the art of appealing to people's emotions. All speakers were either Millionaires or Billionaires. My best moment was seeing two of my most favorite speakers in the world, Dr David Molapo and Les Brown sharing the stage.  Thanks to these two guys I now have a renewed purpose in life.

The Mthatha High Court has ordered that the remains be moved back to Qunu.

Lauryn Hill Imprisoned

The talented singer Lauryn Hill has managed to land herself in prison for tax evasion!
Truthfully, I could not help but let out a breath of relief, as she is not arrested for drug possession or murder… or something she seems to most likely be associated with. #JustSaying.

Lauryn Hill, who is 38 years old and has 6 kids was found guilty of tax evasion a few months ago, the court found that she had deliberately dodged paying her taxes for the past 2 years.

Apparently Lauryn failed to file her tax returns between the years 2005 and 2007.

Lauryn appealed asking for leniency as she settled the outstanding tax bill days before judgment had been given.  The court turned down this appeal and sentenced Ms. Hill to 3 MONTHS in prison, followed by home confinement for another 3 months.
Lauryn Hill made a statement saying she is being surrounded by a climate of hostility, false entitlement, manipulation, racial prejudice, sexism and ageism.

Ageism?! Who would have thought!

So guys to avoid following in Ms. Hill’s footstep… Please file your tax returns.
